Helpful kitchen gadgets

Over the years I have found that there are some kitchen gadgets that are very useful in

my THM journey. Some of these gadgets are bigger more expensive items while others are small and cheap, but each has been helpful in staying on plan.

The first thing I recommend is a good blender, this will be useful for shakes, smoothies, puddings, baking, soups, and sauces. I have a aid blender and it blends okra so it is not noticeable in shakes. Others highly recommend a vitamix or ninja blender. I have found that is is nice to also have a personal blender for quick single serve shakes, salad dressings, and small batch sauces. I also use a kitchenaid stand mixer and a food processor, both come in very handy and I have the slicing attachments for both that make shredding cabbage, broccoli stems, and other veggies very quick. The food processor also works great to make nut butters in. A stick blender works great for making trimmys, quick chocolate milk, and mayo.

An air fryer is great for cooking many different meats, veggies and even fruits, I use mine to make a quick lunch of salmon and veggies, cook chicken for the whole family, make jalapeno poppers, baked apples, and so much more. I also use a crock pot often, I adapted most of the soup recipes to be made in the crock pot so they cook all day. I also use my crock pot to make yogurt, and love this yogurt strainer it makes it possible to strain the yogurt in the fridge for a longer time leaving a thicker yogurt.

When it comes to baking and making treats silicone muffin liners are great, muffins don't stick, and they work great for chocolate molds. I like silicone candy molds for making gummies.

When it come to slicing a mandoline slicer makes for quick work, just be careful I have cut myself on mine a few times. A spiralizer is great for making noodles out of veggies or fancy salad cutting.

There are many other gadgets and tools that may be helpful in the kitchen but these are a few of my favorites that are used weekly to daily for some.
